2nd Flood Advisory Issued For Mid-Hudson Valley

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — No sooner had one flood advisory expired than another was issued.

The National Weather Service in Albany issued Wednesday an urban and small stream flood advisory for Dutchess County and Ulster County.

This one is in effect until 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

At 4:16 p.m. Wednesday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.

Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional moderate rainfall will continue through this afternoon, with heavy rain arriving this evening.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...Torrington, Poughkeepsie, New Milford, Kingston, Beacon, New Paltz, Ellenville, Rhinebeck, Pawling, Wallkill, Hyde Park, Milton, Plattekill, Pleasant Valley, Thomaston, New Hartford, Hurley, Wappingers Falls, Amenia and Kent.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
