WOODBURY, NY — Three area residents were arrested after a traffic stop on a number of charges, some related to illegal possession of nitrous oxide, or laughing gas. State police said troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the Town of Woodbury for vehicle and traffic violations.
While interviewing the driver — Dennis Andaluz, 51, of the Bronx — probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established.
Andaluz and his two passengers — Evelyn Candelaria, 55, of the Bronx, and Daniel A. Figueroa, 41, of Palisades Park, New Jersey — were found to have about 60 pounds of nitrous oxide and about 1 gram of marijuana.
