3 Arrested For Burglarizing Amenia Home: Police

One was sent to jail, and the two other were released.

AMENIA, NY — Three Poughkeepsie residents face felony charges after being accused of robbing a home in Amenia. On Oct. 17, State Police arrested Austin M. Lovett, 32, Taylor E. Desario, 21, and Dyer A Burns, 17, all of Poughkeepsie, for second-degree burglary, a felony.

Police received a complaint Oct. 1 of a burglary of a home on State Route 343 in the Town of Amenia. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

An investigation led to the trio’s arrest, police said.

Lovett, Desario and Burns were arraigned in the Town of Amenia Justice Court.

Lovett was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 20.

Desario and Burns were both released under the supervision of Dutchess County Probation. Their next appearances in court is also Nov. 20.
