4 Charged In Fatal April Shooting During Soccer Game In Poughkeepsie: Police

All four are facing a second-degree murder charge, according to police.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Four people were arrested Monday in connection with the April 19 fatal shooting at Stitzel Field.

Det. Lt. Sean McCarthy said police conducted an operation and arrested Sharnado Green, 29, of Hyde Park, and three City of Poughkeepsie residents, including Peter Green, 31; Paul Green, 34; and Tyrese Hall, 21.

Each is charged with second-degree murder. All are being held pending their arraignment, police said.

The charges stem from the April 19 homicide of 46-year-old Carl Chambers at Stitzel Field.

Several people had gathered at the field for a local adult soccer game, according to police.

Witnesses told police multiple people had exchanged gunfire across the street from the soccer field. At the time, police said a second person had been injured but survived.

Police said the investigation is still active and ongoing.
