2. ‘The Botanist at Vassar’ Exhibition

Where: Vassar College | 124 Raymond Ave, Poughkeepsie

On view from April 4 through October 4, 2026, “The Botanist at Vassar” explores the connection between plant science and visual art through a rich collection of works and archival materials. Visitors can discover botanical illustrations, photography, paintings and scientific artifacts that reveal how artists and scientists alike have shaped the study of plants.

3. Spring Fling Flower Walk

4. Grand Am BBQ World Championship & Festival

When: May 1–3, 2026 | Friday, 5–8 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m.–8 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

The Grand Am BBQ World Championship and Festival brings three days of barbecue, live music and outdoor fun to the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz. Attendees can enjoy cooking demos, vendors, cold drinks and the excitement of a world championship barbecue competition.
