7 Running To Unseat Faso In 19th Congressional District
The winner of Tuesday's Democratic primary will face the Republican incumbent in November.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Seven people are vying to challenge Rep. John Faso, R-Kinderhook, to represent the 19th Congressional District. The winner of the Tuesday, June 26 primary will appear on the Democrat line on the November ballot.
The candidates’ experience ranges from teacher to lawyers to a former gubernatorial aide.
Jeff Beals, 41, Woodstock.
From his website: “I’m a local teacher, a former U.S. diplomat who served with distinctio in Iraq, and may family has had a farm in the Hudson Valley since I was a boy. … I plan to use my experience bringing opposing sides together to lead a united coalition of new voices in Congress.”

Dave Clegg, 65, Woodstock.
From his website: Lawyer, chairman of the Ulster County Human Rights Commission. “As a member of the Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years, I am able to bridge the economic and social challenges of NY19.”
Erin Collier, 34, Cooperstown.
From her website: “Erin is running for Congress because we need a leader in Congress that will fight hard for this district every day, something our leaders in Washington have forgotten how to do. We need a leader that will fight to protect access to healthcare, fight for working families and stand up to Donald Trump’s agenda.”

Antonio Delgado, 41, Rhinebeck.
From his website: “Antonio is running for Congress because for too long, our leaders in Washington have failed to give voice to working families struggling to achieve the American Dream.”
Brian Flynn, 48, Elka Park.
From his website: “His campaign is centered around a comprehensive Plan for the American Worker that creates jobs and raises wages while removing the barriers that have kept people down.”
Gareth Rhodes, 29, Kerhonkson.
From his website: “We need new leaders who know and love this community to go to Washington and stand up to Trump, and fight for our healthcare, our environment and our values.”
Pat Ryan, 36, Gardiner.
From his website: “He will use his proven track record of putting our country first — before party and before himself, to create an economy that works for everyone, to protect our environment, and will never stop fighting for all of us.”
The 19th Congressional District is comprised of all or part of 11 counties in the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Catskills and Central New York regions of New York.
