UPDATE, 10 a.m. — From 511ny.org: Crash Road Closed and Overturned tractor trailer on I-84 eastbound between Exit 4 (I-84) - NY17 to Binghamton/NYC (Wallkill) and Exit 5 (I-84) - Maybrook (NY 208) (Montgomery) all lanes of 2 lanes blocked All traffic detoured off Exit 4 to NY 17.

MIDDLETOWN, NY — An early morning crash involving eight tractor-trailers closed a portion of eastbound Interstate 84 while New York State police investigated and crews cleaned the accident scene. The crash, which occurred around 3:30 a.m., resulted in only minor injuries to one driver.
