Adult Accused Over Drunk Teen Driver With Passengers In The Trunk

State police said the 24-year-old advertised a party on social media and many attendees, like the driver and his passengers, were underage.

NEW YORK — A 24-year-old faces a criminal charge connected to the July arrest of a 16-year-old accused of speeding drunkenly in Columbia County with nine juvenile passengers, two of whom were in the trunk.

Wednesday, state police arrested Daquan R. Williams of Albany.

They said the 16-year-old and the others in the car were traveling from a party in Nassau, New York, when the driver was seen hitting speeds of up to 100 mph. Four of the passengers were under 16. Williams had advertised the party via social media, police alleged, resulting in a sizeable underage attendance.
