Multi-County Police Chase Ends With NJ Man Getting Stolen Vehicle Stuck In Snowbank: Police
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office was notified of the pursuit that involved police from Westchester and Putnam counties.

DOVER, NY — An ill-advised flight from justice ended in a snowbank, according to authorities in Dutchess County.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says that 46-year-old Julio Pineda, of West New York, New Jersey, was arrested on Thursday, in the Town of Dover.
During the early morning hours on Thursday, the sheriff's office was notified of a pursuit that involved police from Westchester and Putnam counties, which was discontinued near Pawling.

A deputy soon found the suspect vehicle stuck in a snowbank on Route 22, in the Town of Dover.
Pineda was identified as the driver. Further investigation revealed that the car had been reported stolen in New Jersey, according to cops. Police also seized a controlled substance found in the vehicle.

Pineda was taken into custody and charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of stolen property. After processing, he was released on appearance tickets to re-appear before the Town of Dover Court on a later date, according to the sheriff's office.
