Albany Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child

Police said he was arraigned in court and sent to jail without bail.

DOVER, NY — An Albany man was accused of sexually assaulting a child. State police said Daniel Laporte, 34, of Albany, was charged Saturday with predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony.

On Wednesday, in the Town of Dover, state police were notified of a possible sexual assault against a child.

The investigation found Laporte on multiple occasions sexually assaulted a child under the age of 15, police said.

He was arraigned in the Town of Dover Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
