Alzheimer's Association offers legal and financial program

A program on Dec. 5 will offer tips on legal and financial planning for families with a loved one who has been diagnosed with dementia.

RED HOOK - The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter will offer a free program on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

“Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s Disease” will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Red Hook Public Library, 7444 S. Broadway, Red Hook.

The workshop will offer tips for making legal plans that fit your needs, important documents, finding legal and financial assistance, strategies for making a long-term care plan and government programs that can help you afford care.

“Without proper planning, your estate or your parent’s estate may be settled in ways you never intended,” said Michael Martin of Martin Law, PC. “Join us to get real answers on how to assure your estate is properly protected.”
