Alzheimer's Association offers Social Programs in Westchester
ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION TO OFFER SOCIAL PROGRAMS IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY

The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter is offering the following free social programs for people with dementia and their family caregivers in Westchester County during October.
A “Memory Café”will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, in the Oak Room at Sam’s of Gedney Way, 50 Gedney Way, White Plains. Pre-registration is required for this event featuring refreshments and live music by the Forget Me Nots. To RSVP, call 800.272.3900.
A “Sunday Social” will be held from 12:30-3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains. This free social program features live music and refreshments for people with dementia and their family caregivers. RSVP by the second Wednesday the month of the social. The “AlzWell Social Club”will be held from 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 in White Plains. A social program featuring creative activities for caregivers and people with early and middle-stage dementia, including creative writing, trivia games, singing, ice-cream socials, clay art, choral groups, sing-alongs, light yoga, dance, art projects, stress-relief exercises and more. Pre-screening is required to participate; call 800.272.3900 to schedule a care consultation/pre-screening appointment.
