AMBER Alert: 12-Year-Old Abductee May Be Headed To NYC

The girl was taken in Hudson Falls, NY under circumstances that lead police to believe that she is in imminent danger.

HUDSON FALLS, NY — Police are investigating a child abduction that occurred at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hudson Falls. Malaya Johnson is believed to be in a red Ford Mustang that may have been occupied by two men and is possibly headed to New York City, police said.

The car was last seen traveling on Oak Street in Hudson Falls. The girl is about 12 years old and police fear she is in danger.

The Washington County Sheriffs Office activated the New York State AMBER Alert.

Malaya is a black female with long, brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5-feet tall and weighs about 115 pounds. Malaya was last seen wearing light red jeans and a white tank top, carrying a light colored backpack with a design.

The vehicle has been identified as a red 2-door sedan Ford Mustang with unknown license plate.

The child was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that she is in imminent danger of serious physical injury and/or death. Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the Washington County Sheriffs Office at (866)N Y S-AMBER or dial 911 to provide information on a report or sighting.
