Amber Alert Issued Friday For Upstate Toddler

SODUS, NY — A 14-month-old child is missing and is the subject of an Amber Alert Friday. Owen Hidalgo-Calderon was last seen May 16, 2018, in Sodus, Wayne County, which is east of Rochester on Lake Ontario.

The alert said that the child was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe he is in imminent danger of serious physical harm or death.

Hidalgo-Calderon a male Hispanic, with brown hair and eyes. He is 2 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds.

He is known to need asthma medication. There is no information about what he was last seen wearing.

The body of Selena Hidalgo-Calderon — the child’s mother— was found in a bag Wednesday in a wooded area in an apple orchard, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle said.

Her boyfriend, Alberto “Ebavarod Gutierrez” Reyes has been accused of moving her body to the woods.
