Amenia Man Accused Of Fatal Stabbing
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

AMENIA, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of fatally stabbing an Amenia man.
The New York State Police said David A. Trotta Jr., 26, of Amenia, was charged Sunday with second-degree murder, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
Around 11:50 a.m. Sunday, police said troopers were sent to South Amenia Road for a report of a stabbing.

Trotta was taken into custody at the scene, police said.
Emergency medical technicians rendered aid to Juan C. Cedillo, 45, of Amenia, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Trotta was arraigned in the Town of Amenia Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
He is next scheduled to appear in court Jan. 21.
