Around 6:33 p.m. Sunday, dispatchers received a Raven gunshot detection alert and several calls about shots being fired in the area of Stitzel Field on Lincoln Avenue.
Several people had gathered there for a local adult soccer game, according to police.
Witnesses told police multiple people had exchanged gunfire across the street from the soccer field.

Officers learned one victim, Chambers, had been transported to a local hospital but died.
Investigators learned a second victim had also been taken to a local hospital, and that person was treated and deemed to be in stable condition, police said.
According to Wilson, police’s preliminary investigation indicates there was an exchange of gunfire involving several individuals. Police believe three different weapons were fired at the scene, with one of them being a high-powered rifle.
