At the scene, troopers found the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, 26-year-old Matthew D. Austin, of Dover Plains.

Troopers say Austin was traveling east on Bruzgul Road when he left the roadway, struck a telephone pole, then struck the corner of a house and a parked vehicle.

State police say that no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

While speaking with Austin, troopers report noticing signs of intoxication. They administered standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to NYSP.

Austin was arrested and taken to SP Lagrange for processing, where he provided a breath sample that resulted in a blood alcohol concentration of 0.28 percent, police said.

He was charged with aggravated DWI (per se - .18 percent of more blood alcohol content); and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

Austin was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Union Vale Court.
