FISHKILL, NY — Police have now charged three suspects in a brutal gang attack at a gathering.
On July 23, New York State Police in Wappinger responded to a home in Fishkill to assist the Town of Fishkill Police Department with the investigation of the reported assault.
Investigators found that those involved in the attack were attending a birthday celebration when a fight broke out among several partygoers. Police said that during the melee, a 20-year-old victim was violently assaulted by Baboucarr E. Camara, 21, an 18-year-old male, and a 17-year-old male, all of Newburgh. The victim sustained serious physical injuries as a result of the assault.
On July 31, Camara and the 18-year-old male suspect were arrested and each charged with felony gang assault in the second degree.
Bothwere arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and released under the supervision of Dutchess County Probation. They are scheduled to reappear in the Town of Fishkill Court on Sept. 2.
On Monday, the 17-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with felony gang assault.
That juvenile suspect was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and remanded to Woodfield Cottage Juvenile Detention Facility.
