Trooper Stops To Help This Hudson Valley Snapping Turtle Cross The Road

FISHKILL, NY — It isn't easy moving your whole house every time you want to cross the street — but it helps if you have some friends willing to lend a hand.

NYSP police said troopers made a "different kind of traffic stop" recently. On Thursday Troop K Troopers in East Fishkill came across a snapping turtle crossing the road, and helped make sure this slow-moving traveler reached the other side safely.
