HUDSON VALLEY, NY — After another pleasant and sunny day today, showers and potential thunderstorms are back in the forecast for the Hudson Valley on Thursday.
The National Weather Service predicts today will be sunny, with highs in the low 80s and low humidity.
The pattern shifts on Thursday, when the threat for thunderstorms returns, it predicts.
"If you have outdoor plans, be aware that thunderstorms may impact you during the afternoon & evening hours on Thursday and be prepared to take shelter if storms threaten your location," the National Weather Service said.
It predicts there is the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms and flash flooding.
The chance for showers and possible thunderstorms ramps up around mid-day on Thursday. The stormy weather chance continues overnight Thursday and into Friday.
Looking ahead, the unsettled weather pattern is expected to clear out for the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday are expected to be sunny days, with highs in the low 80s.
