Main Street Mobil Gas Station Baseball Bat Gang Attack Leads To 4 Arrests: Police

ELLENVILLE, NY — A savage assault at a Hudson Valley gas station sent the victim to the hospital, and led to felony arrests.

The New York State Police say that on Tuesday, around 9 a.m., troopers from Ellenville responded to the Mobil gas station on State Route 209, in Wawarsing, after receiving a report of several people involved in a fight.

Investigators found that several attackers assaulted a 43-year-old man using a baseball bat, according to NYSP. The victim was taken to Garnet Medical Health Center with what were described as "non-life-threatening" injuries.

Four suspects in the brutal assault were arrested and taken to SP Ellenville for processing.

Jordan I. Jones, 19, of Ellenville, was charged with felony second-degree attempted gang assault; misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon; and felony second-degree assault.

Amanda M. Jones, 40, of Ellenville, was charged with felony second-degree attempted gang assault; felony second-degree assault; and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Matthew Johannessen, 24, of Ellenville, was charged with felony second-degree attempted gang assault; felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon; felony second-degree assault; and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief.

A 16-year-old boy, also from Ellenville, was charged with felony second-degree attempted gang assault; misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon; and felony second-degree assault.

All four were arraigned at Ulster County Court Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to the Ulster County Jail pending a future court appearance.
