
RHINEBECK, NY — A 92-year-old from Poughkeepsie died on the train tracks Tuesday morning, New York State police reported.
The man was hit by an Amtrak train between the Rhinecliff and Staatsburg stations.
The investigation revealed that An V. Tran was walking on the tracks at 9:17 a.m. when he was struck and killed by a southbound Amtrak train.

Amtrak Police, Village of Rhinebeck Police, MTA Police, NYS Department of Transportation, Hillside Fire Department and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene, police said.
