Angela Graswald's Lawyers Seek To Prove False Confession
Graswald was accused of murdering her fiance during a kayaking trip.

GOSHEN, NY — Angelika Graswald will likely present a defense at her trial which is scheduled to begin Aug. 15 in which her lawyers will try to prove she falsely confessed to killing her fiance. Orange County Court Judge Robert Freehill said the court decided to allow the false-confession defense.
Graswald will be examined by a psychiatrist of the prosecutor’s choosing and a report should be available by the end of July, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
Graswald allegedly admitted she murdered Vincent Viafore during a kayaking trip in 2015.
