Body Found In Newburgh Park Pond

Police are waiting for the results of the autopsy.

NEWBURGH, NY — A City of Newburgh man was found dead in a pond at a city park Friday. Police received a call about a body in the pond around 11:30 a.m.

Police identified the man as Santos Alirio Mendez-Perez, 22, of Newburgh, recordonline.com reported.

While there were no signs of foul play, police are waiting for the results of an autopsy.
