Body Of Missing Poughkeepsie Man Found

Authorities confirmed that the body found Sept. 28 was the wife of the missing man.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — George Grogan, who has been missing since the body of a woman was found in a van near Bear Mountain Bridge Sept. 28, was found dead. Town of Poughkeepsie police said they found the body of a dead man in a wooded area east of Bear Mountain Bridge Oct. 3.

An autopsy Oct. 4 by the Westchester County Office of the Medical Examiner confirmed that the body was Grogan's.

The Westchester medical examiner also confirmed that the body of the woman found Sept. 28 is that of Audrey Grogan, George Grogan's wife.

George Grogan, a Town of Poughkeepsie resident, had gone missing Sept. 27 and was being sought for questioning regarding the disappearance of his wife.
