Bomb Threats Being Investigated In Dover School District
Multiple police agencies participated in the search after all the buildings were evacuated.

DOVER, NY — The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating bomb threats made against the Dover Union Free School District Wednesday. The threat occurred around 8:30 a.m.
Sheriff’s Deputies and State Troopers responded to Dover High School after two bomb threats were received over the phone.
Authorities said the threats were not aimed at a particular building or school, so all of the district’s buildings were evacuated and searched.

No suspicious packages or devices were found, and students were allowed back in their schools around 11 a.m.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by Dover school district officials and the New York State Police. In addition, explosives detection K-9 Teams from the Sheriff’s Office, State Police, City of Poughkeepsie Police, and Town of Poughkeepsie Police all participated in the searches.
