Bronx Woman Arrested With Illegal Drugs Intended To Sell

State police had initially stopped the woman for a vehicle and traffic violation.

TUXEDO, NY — State Police arrested a Bronx woman in Orange County for having illegal narcotics that they said she was intending to sell. Jasmine T. Singh, 27, of the Bronx, was stopped while driving on I-87 in the Town of Tuxedo around 1:40 a.m. Feb. 5.

While interviewing her for the vehicle and traffic violation, Troopers determined there was probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants.

Police said they found Singh was in possession of approximately 6 grams of cocaine that was divided up into 41 individual bags and 1 gram of PCP which was also packaged into five gelatin tablets.

Also found was a vape pen containing THC oil.

Singh was taken into custody and processed at the Tarrytown barracks.

She was charged with the following:

  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with intent to sell, felonies
  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony
  • Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony
  • Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor
  • Unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation
  • Vehicle and traffic violation

Singh is scheduled for arraignment Monday, Feb. 5 in the Town of Tuxedo Court. No bail information or return court date was known at this time.
