Brooklyn Woman Arrested Going 121 MPH On Taconic Parkway

When police initially spotted her, they said she was traveling at 103 mph.

STANFORD, NY — A Brooklyn women was arrested for drug possession and resisting arrest in Dutchess County. State Police said Nicole Mishiyev, 20, of Brooklyn, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree reckless endangerment, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and reckless driving, all misdemeanors, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Police said they spotted Mishiyev’s car traveling at 103 mph north on the Taconic State Parkway Oct. 12 in the Town of Stanford. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

While police tried to stop her, they said she continued passing other cars at reckless speeds.

Police recorded her maximum speed at 121 mph in a 55-mph zone.

A search of Mishiyev’s car found a small amount of marijuana and 31 individually packaged 500 ml canisters of concentrated marijuana.

She was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Stanford Justice Court Oct. 25.
