Burglary Charge Leveled Against Wappinger Woman

She faces two felony charges, police said.

FISHKILL, NY — A Wappinger woman was arrested after a domestic dispute Jan. 21. State Police said Teresa D. Lucas, 44, of Wappinger, was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, both felonies.

Troopers responded to Taylor Lane in the Village of Fishkill for a burglary in progress.

They found that Lucas forcibly entered the residence of a former domestic partner, damaging the door, moulding and other property in the process.

She was arraigned in the Village of Fishkill Court and released on her own recognizance. She is set to return to court Jan. 29.
