On Saturday, November 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., AutoCamp Catskills (Saugerties, about two hours from NYC) hosts its inaugural Fall Feast, a three-course, family-style dinner cooked over an open fire by Tasmania-born chef and cookbook author Sarah Glover of The Wild Kitchen Global. Dinner features seasonal, locally sourced fare, and Glover leads an interactive live-fire cooking demonstration. Guests share long tables outdoors under the stars with heat lamps and blankets, enjoy complimentary beer and wine, and finish the night at a s’mores bar.

Attendees must book a stay on-site through November 13 to 15 to attend. Seating is limited, and guests must be 21+.

Trick or treat at the Greenhouse! Celebrate Halloween with a hands-on activity and seasonal treats while exploring some of the greenhouse’s strange and unusual plants. Vassar’s Artifacts Project (VCAP) will also share items from its taxidermy collection. Come in costume to enter the costume contest, with prizes for the best costumes.

Drop by anytime between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. The greenhouse is on the lower level behind Olmsted Hall, facing Skinner Music Hall. Visitors can park in the South Lot and take the stairs by Skinner. Accessible parking is available next to the greenhouse: Turn onto Chapel Gate from Raymond Avenue, then take the first right down the hill.

Six-time Grammy-nominated Skylark vocal ensemble presents Sleepy Hollow, a haunting musical retelling of Washington Irving’s beloved Hudson Valley ghost story. Conceived by Artistic Director Matthew Guard, the program blends narration, folk song, shape-note singing, part-song, and instrumental improvisation to evoke the world of Ichabod Crane, Brom Bones, and the legendary Headless Horseman.
Featuring narration by actor, singer, and educator Tynan Davis and atmospheric cello improvisations by Thomas Barth, Sleepy Hollow transforms Irving’s classic tale into an immersive journey through the folklore, music, and imagination of early America. By turns humorous, mysterious, and haunting, the performance brings one of the Hudson Valley’s most enduring legends vividly to life.

Mount Saint Mary College and its Center on Aging and DIS-Ability Policy, in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, will present “The Healthy Brain Experience: Your Brain, Your Future” on Thursday, November 5.&nbsp;The free, public event will be held in Guzman Hall on campus and will begin at 5 p.m., with a panel discussion at 6 p.m. The Mount is located at 330 Powell Ave., Newburgh, N.Y. The evening will bring together students, local advocates, and community members to explore proactive approaches to cognitive wellness and learn about vital support services. 
The event will kick off with an interactive resource fair and networking hour. Attendees can connect directly with local organizations dedicated to mind and body wellness, meet representatives from the student-led Aging United organization, and explore community programs. 
The formal program begins at 6 p.m., featuring an expert panel discussion alongside presentations on the latest brain health research and an overview of Alzheimer’s Association programs and services. Attendees will also be treated to the premiere screening of a student-produced video highlighting practical, everyday healthy brain habits. 
This initiative is supported in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Health. 
The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
The Mount is an independent liberal arts institution located in Newburgh, New York, committed to educating leaders through intellectual challenge and dedicated community service.
Established in 2006 and directed by gerontologist Dr. Lawrence T. Force, the Center on Aging and DIS-Ability Policy (CADP) promotes an interdisciplinary approach dedicated to excellence in research, scholarship, policy, and practice across gerontology and disability studies. Serving as a vital community-based resource for the Hudson Valley and beyond, CADP bridges the gap between academic research and practical application by spearheading community initiatives, advising on elder care and policy development, and providing students with hands-on research and leadership opportunities in the fields of aging and disability support.
