Car, Tractor-Trailer Collision Sends 1 To Hospital
The trailer became detached from the cab and overturned, spilling its contents on the roadway.
MARBLETOWN, NY — A car and tractor trailer collided in Ulster County sending an elderly man to the hospital and spilling a load of gravel on the highway. The New York State Police said, around 12:30 p.m. Monday, troopers were called to Route 209 in Marbletown.
The initial investigation found that the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, traveling east on Route 209, failed to yield the right of way to a 2020 Peterbilt tractor trailer.
The tractor trailer was unable to avoid colliding with the car, police said, causing the trailer to become detached from the cab.

An 89-year-old man from Olivebridge was driving the Malibu. He was taken to Westchester Medical Center via LifeNet Medivac.
