Carmel and Nearby Communities Celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Spins Bowl

More than 40 town and local dignitaries recently gathered to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Spins Bowl in Carmel.

More than 40 town and local dignitaries recently gathered to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Spins Bowl in Carmel. Bill Diamond and his company Diamond Hospitality Group invested nearly $4 million to build a brand new bowling and family entertainment center for the town of Carmel and nearby communities to enjoy. The 30,000 square foot Spins center features 26 refurbished lanes with the latest in technology throughout, a new restaurant and bar, arcade, foosball, pool table and large rooms for public gatherings

County Executive MaryEllen Odell was among a handful of dignitaries who spoke at the VIP event. “The venue has a long history of great family entertainment and great memories for so many in our community. We are grateful to Diamond Properties for bringing Spins Bowl to Putnam County. This beautiful, state-of-the-art bowling and recreation facility is an ideal family entertainment venue. Our residents, as well as our neighbors in Dutchess and Danbury, now have another terrific option for fun and exercise, as well as a place to host birthday parties and other celebrations." Said Ms. Odell.

Everyone was abuzz over the newly designed center, addition of a modern arcade, high tech video screens and new electronic scoring stations for each lane and comfortable new seating throughout. The beautiful newly designed bar (an actual former bowling lane) features 16 craft beers on tap and a wide selection of drinks. “I would like to personally thank the owners/operators of the newly opened Spins Bowl Center located in the Hamlet of Carmel for creating an amazing destination for fun activities for all age groups, I was truly impressed by the transformation that took place from what was the former Carmel Bowling lanes to the newly renovated Spins Bowl Center,” said Kenneth Schmitt, Town of Carmel Supervisor.

Other VIP’s attending the grand opening gala included Frank Smith, Acting Director, Putnam County Tourism, Erin Meagher CEO Carmel, Mahopac Chamber, and Bill Nulk, President, Carmel Kent Chamber of Commerce. Many of the VIP’s helped to get the fun started with a synchronized “roll off” where everyone rolled their first ball in unison on the new lanes. This is an exciting time for Carmel and its surrounding communities for all families to come and enjoy the new entertainment center and dining experience- fun for all!
