Casino Visitor Accused Of Stealing From Another Guest
New York State Police coordinated the investigation in the Catskills and in New York City.

MONTICELLO, NY — Resorts World Catskills opened its doors Feb. 8. On April 11, New York State Police announced the arrest of a guest at the casino who is accused of stealing more than $7,000 from another guest's room.
Andrea Mercer, 33, of the Bronx, faces a charge of third degree Grand Larceny. Police allege that Mercer, a guest at the casino herself, entered the room of another guest at the casino and stole over $7,000.
She was arraigned before town of Thompson Justice Sharon Jankeiwicz and sent to the Sullivan County Jail on $7,500 cash bail.

This was a joint investigation between members of the State Police in Wurtsboro and the State Police in Manhattan.
