Catskill Woman Accused In Fatal Stabbing
Police said she knew the man they said she stabbed.
CATSKILL, NY — A Catskill woman was accused of fatally stabbing a man in the village.
The New York State Police said Carrie E. Weiser, 32, of Catskill, was charged with second-degree murder, a felony.
Police said, around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, the Catskill Police Department was called to a reported stabbing in an apartment on West Bridge Street in Catskill.

Scott O. Myers, 68, was found in his apartment suffering from a stab wound.
Life-saving measures were not successful, police said, and he died at the scene.

Weiser, who knew Myers, was arraigned in the Town of Catskill Court and sent to the Greene County Jail without bail.
Police said the case is still under investigation.
State police from the Catskill barracks, Village of Catskill Police Department, Greene County District Attorney's Office, Greene County Sheriff's Office, the NYSP Troop F Forensic Identification Unit and the NYSP Troop F Computer Crimes Unit conducted the investigation.
