Child Porn, Illegal Weapons Arrests Made In Poughkeepsie

A search warrant for the child pornography also yielded the illegal weapons, police said.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — State police accused a Poughkeepsie man of having child porn and netted additional weapons charges as a result of a search. On June 3, Troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks and the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center arrested Sean M. Elmendorf, 27, of Poughkeepsie, for possession of a sexual performance by a child, a felony.

The investigation by the Troop K Computer Crimes Unit and the Poughkeepsie Bureau of Criminal Investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant by the Dutchess County Court.

When the warrant was executed, police said child pornography was found in Elmendorf's possession.

Additionally, illegal firearms were found to be in the possession of Ibn L. Lane, 47, and Marlene L. Elmendorf, 64, both of Poughkeepsie.

They were both charged with criminal possession of a firearm, a felony.

Sean Elmendorf was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail or $15,000 bond.

Lane and Marlene Elmendorf were both issued appearance tickets.

All three are scheduled to appear before the court June 10.
