Child Safety Seat Check Set In Mid-Hudson Valley

Child safety car seat technicians will be on hand to assist with the installation of your child's safety seat.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — New York State Police will be providing a free opportunity for people to make certain the child car seats are properly installed.

National Seat Check Saturday will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Poughkeepsie Home Depot in the Mid Hudson Plaza on Route 9.

The New York State Police in Troop K will have child safety seat technicians on hand to assist with the installation of your child's safety seat. They will make sure the seat is properly installed and in good condition.

Police said they will also be able to answer any questions and help parents and caregivers make the transitions between car seats, booster seats and regular seat belts.
