Circus Performer Shot By Arrow During Show, Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center
The accident took place during a performance Friday night at the Orange County Fair, according to state police.
TOWN OF WALLKILL, NY — A circus stunt went wrong last night leaving a performer seriously injured.
The New York State Police say that on Friday, around 9:30 p.m., troopers responded to a report of circus personnel being injured during a performance at the Orange County Fair, being held in the town of Wallkill.
The NYSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation from Middletown also reported to the scene.

Investigators said that 42-year-old Ana B. Daza Tavera, and 38-year-old Edwin A. Cuervo Rangel, both of Waukesha, Wisconsin, had been performing a show during which Daza Tavera shot an arrow at a foam target that Cuervo Rangel had been holding. Instead, the arrow struck Cuervo Rangel, injuring him.
He was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center and is listed as being in stable condition.
