Columbia County Man Had Sexual Conduct With Child: Police
He is facing a felony charge.

DOVER, NY — State Police arrested a Hillsdale man for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a child. Jairon Gregorio Mendez, 19, of Hillsdale, Columbia County, was charged with first-degree course of sexual conduct with a child, a felony.
An investigation was started as a result of a law enforcement referral to the New York State Central Registry for Child Abuse. It determined Gregorio Mendez did engage in a course of sexual conduct with a child, police said.
Gregorio Mendez was arraigned in the town of Amenia Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail or $50,000 bond.
