Cops Say Man Arrested On Thruway Had 5 Oz Of Marijuana

He's due in court in Cornwall June 10.

CORNWALL, NY — New York State police said they stopped a car on the New York Thrway at 9 p.m. Monday for a vehicle and traffic violation. The trooper interviewed the driver and concluded that probable cause to search the vehicle had been established.

As a result of the search, the driver, Carlos F. Rojas Mora, 20, of Utica, NY, was found to be in possession of over 5 ounces of marijuana.

Rojas Mora was taken into custody and transported to state police barracks in Newburgh where he was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cornwall Court on June 10.
