Cops with Search Warrant Arrest Father, Son

Two Greene County men face felony drug charges.

A joint investigation conducted by the New York State Police, The Greene County District Attorney’s Office and The Greene County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the execution of a search warrant April 22 at 10 Stacy Road in Coxsackie.

The search resulted in the recovery of about 50 grams of cocaine and roughly 8 ounces of marijuana as well as more than $1,300 in US currency.

The occupants, Alexander Mazariego, 20, and his father Marco Mazariego, 45, were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd degree, a class E felony.

Marco Mazariego was also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A Misdemeanor.

Both were arraigned in town court and sent to Greene County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail / $20,000 secured bond.
