Corey Ingram's Life Celebrated In Funeral Service At Mid-Hudson Civic Center
The sailor was one of 10 killed in a collision between a warship and an oil tanker.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — More than 1,000 people gathered at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center Tuesday to pay their last respects to the Poughkeepsie sailor who lost his life Aug. 21 when his warship collided with an oil tanker off the coast of Malaysia. Information Systems Technician 1st Class Corey Ingram, 28, was one of 10 sailors on the USS John McCain who were killed.
Speakers remembered his laugh and his love of pulled pork, and his funeral service, according to one Poughkeepsie pastor was an opportunity to honor a man who sacrificed his life for the United States, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
