Coronavirus: 10 Cases Confirmed In Kiryas Joel
Village officials said more social distancing, testing and prevention methods have been discussed.
KIRYAS JOEL, NY — There are 10 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Kiryas Joel in Orange County. A video made by a Kiryas Joel doctor and posted on Facebook claiming that 90 percent of the village is likely infected led the county to look into the outbreak.
Quarantine zones are being considered, along with temporary field hospitals as the county total reached 68 Thursday, News 12 reported.

County Executive Steve Neuhaus said executive orders and warnings were issued, but many have been ignored.
All synagogues, gathering places and schools in Kiryas Joel were closed by village leaders in compliance with state orders, the Times Herald-Record said.
