Coronavirus: Father Of Dutchess County Executive On Ventilator
County Executive Marc Molinaro talked about his father during a Facebook town hall Wednesday.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The father of the Dutchess County executive is battling the new coronavirus in a Hudson Valley hospital. During a Facebook town hall Wednesday, County Executive Marc Molinaro said his father was "struggling to stay alive."
While speaking about the importance of social distancing, Molinaro said that his father was at the Westchester Medical Center and is on a ventilator.

"It's a challenge for all of us," he said.
As of noon Thursday, Dutchess County said there were 1,378 confirmed cases of the contagion. There are 1,264 active cases, the county said, with 10 deaths and 104 people recovered.

The county has administered 5,821 tests. There are 101 individuals hospitalized in Dutchess County.
