Corrections Sergeant Enters Plea In Killing Of Ex-Wife
DeGelormo and Alexander married in 2008, but divorced in 2017.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The Dutchess County corrections officer who was accused of killing his ex-wife in November pleaded not guilty in court Thursday. Poughkeepsie resident Timothy Alexander was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the Nov. 15 death of Terrie DeGelormo, 34.
After his plea, Alexander was sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail before being sent to another facility, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
According to police, Alexander stabbed DeGelormo at a home in the vicinity of All Angels Hill Road in Wappinger Nov. 15 around 11 a.m.

DeGelormo was found dead at the scene. Alexander fled before police arrived and was arrested following an investigation.

He is a sergeant in the corrections division of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
DeGelormo was a Beacon High School 2002 graduate and received her bachelor's degree from SUNY New Paltz.
She worked at Dutchess Community College in accounts payable.
