CT Man Accused Of Having Sex With Minor

Police said the incident took place in a Town of Poughkeepsie hotel.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A Connecticut resident was accused of having sex with a minor at a hotel in Poughkeepsie. State police said Eric J. Fenyes, 46, of Sherman, Connecticut, was charged with second-degree criminal sex act, a felony.

Police said the investigation found Fenyes engaged in sexual conduct with a victim under 15 years of age at a Town of Poughkeepsie hotel in November.

He was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, $50,000 secured bond or $75,000 partially secured bond.

Fenyes is next scheduled to appear in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court Friday.

Police said that, if anyone believes they may have information regarding any additional offenses or may be a victim of an offense committed by Fenyes, they should call Investigator Sloat at 845-677-7375. All calls can be kept confidential.
