CT Woman Arrested With Drugs After Police Chase: NYSP
Police said she wasn't apprehended until after she crossed the Hudson River.
FISHKILL, NY — A Connecticut woman was accused of trying to run from troopers as well as possessing drugs. State police charged Erica C. Rezuke, 27, of West Hartford, Connecticut, with third-degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and reckless driving, misdemeanors, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
Police said that, around 10 a.m. April 10, troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop of a 2015 Acura RDX on Interstate 84 near mile marker 48.8.
While interviewing Rezuke, she sped away traveling west on I-84. Troopers got back in their vehicle and began to pursue her as she crossed the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.

In the Town of Newburgh, still on I-84, police said Rezuke struck an uninvolved vehicle and continued to flee.
A short time later, she was taken into custody by troopers from Troop F on Duby Road in the Town of Newburgh.

Troopers said they found about 14 grams of amphetamines and 11.2 grams of marijuana in Rezuke's possession.
She was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
Rezuke is next scheduled to appear before the court April 17.
