Delaware Men Arrested For Drug Charges On Thruway
Troopers established probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants.

PLATTEKILL, NY — Two Delaware men face drug charges after being stopped on the Thruway for a traffic violation. State police said troopers stopped a vehicle around 11:58 p.m. Nov. 25 on I-87 in the Town of Plattekill.
During the interview of Mustafa Al-Dahbali, 53, of Wilmington, Delaware, troopers established probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants.
During the search of the car and passenger Nagi-Ahmed Khaled Othman, 44, of Wilmington, Delawre, about 313.1 grams of Khat, or Catha edulis, was found.

Both men were taken into custody and processed at the Newburgh barracks where they were charged with the following:
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony (both men)
- Vehicle and traffic violations (Al-Dahbali only)
They were arraigned in the Town of Plattekill Court and released on their own recognizance until their next court date of Dec. 7.
