Dementia Education Program at Support Group in White Plains

A staff member from the Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley has been invited to speak at the Bristal Assisted Living Support Group.

Behavior is one of the primary ways people with dementia communicate their needs and feelings once the ability to use language is lost. The Alzheimer’s Association offers a program focused on how dementia changes the way people communicate and how caregivers can best handle it.

A staff member from the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley has been invited to speak at the Bristal Assisted Living Support Group on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

“Understanding and Responding to Dementia-related Behavior” will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, in The Cinema Room at The Bristal in White Plains, 305 North St., White Plains.
