Domestic Violence Arrest After Woman Beaten With Broom, Closed Fist
The Ulster County Sheriff's Office says she was taken to the hospital to treat head injuries. A 42-year-old was charged with a felony.

ULSTER COUNTY, NY — The Ulster County Sheriff's Office says that a 42-year-old man, from Kerhonkson, was arrested following a domestic violence call.
On September 25, around 11:11 p.m., deputies responded to a home on Tow Path Road in the Town of Wawarsing after a report of a physical domestic dispute.
Investigators believe the man repeatedly struck a 45-year-old woman with a broom handle and closed fist. He was charged with felony second degree assault, felony aggravated family offense, misdemeanor second degree menacing, and misdemeanor fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.

In the attack, the woman sustained a head injury and other injuries to her body. She was taken to Ellenville Regional Hospital.
After processing, the man was brought before the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) of Ulster County, where he was arraigned and remanded to Ulster County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Wawarsing Justice Court at a later date.
