Dutchess County Fatal Fire: Tragedy Hits Cape Cod Family At AirBnB
The mother and a 1-year-old girl died in the blaze. The father and a 3-year-old boy were injured.

TOWN OF CLINTON, NY — A visit to the Hudson Valley turned tragic for a Cape Cod family.
New York State Police say that on Sunday night, they responded to a residential house fire on Clinton Hollow Road in the Town of Clinton along with the East Clinton Fire Department, after a Dutchess County 911 dispatch around 10:40 p.m.
Troopers and first responders found the caller outside of the residence, who told them that two children and their mother were inside the house on the second floor.

Entry into the residence was not possible until mutual aid from the Pleasant Valley Fire Department arrived.
35-year-old Shannon K. Hubbard, of Brewster, Massachusetts, and her two children, a three-year-old boy, and a one-year-old girl were extricated from the residence. All four victims were taken to local area hospitals.

The 39-year-old man and the three-year-old boy were taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shannon K. Hubbard, and the one-year-old girl, were pronounced dead at Vassar Hospital and Mid-Hudson Regional hospital, respectively.
According to the Cape Cod Chronicle, Hubbard worked at Chatham Elementary School, where she was lead teacher in the pre-kindergarten program.
The house on 10 acres is listed on airbnb for $675 per night, according to the Mid Hudson News.
Police say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, Millbrook, Stanford, West Clinton, Roosevelt, and Rhinebeck Fire Departments were all at the scene.
